Ice clinked in an untouched tumbler on the polished black table, reflecting the single, harsh beam from the projector. The Chronos Lock. A name whispered in hushed tones across a dozen dark networks, now splayed across the screen: a gleaming, segmented cylinder, impossibly complex, protected by layers of proprietary tech. Dr. Celeste Valerius leaned forward, her silver-streaked hair catching the light, eyes sharp as scalpels.
